Preliminary Synthesis Paper: JPI "More Years, Better Lives"

Update of the former JPI Discussion Paper - March 2010

We are pleased to inform you that a new version of the Paper on the Joint Programming Initiative has been made available from this website.

This version is much further substantiated, as we have incorporated your valuable feedback - either directly noted during our workshop in Berlin on 28th/29th of January 2010 or in the aftermath, by written contributions. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) expresses its sincerest thanks to you for this valuable input.

The paper itself is now called "preliminary synthesis paper" and the title has been changed to "More Years, Better Lives - The Potentials and Challenges of Demographic Change". This is yet another fruitful result of the workshop as the title was firstly proposed during the closing session.

Based on the synthesis paper, a proposal for the politicial decision process is in preparation. This document will be submitted to the GPC-Committee that is responsible to set proposals for JPI on the agenda of the Research Council on 25/26 May. We are very much looking forward to the hopefully positive decision for the JPI "More Years, Better Lives" on that meeting of our research ministers and will keep you informed.
