Challenges and objectives:

The central objective of the research field is to make inner-city neighbourhoods attractive residential locations and a life worthy space to live. By strengthening the quality of the locations the attractiveness of the corresponding city districts will be increased. Of particular concern is the intention to create attractive and adequate spatial conditions that convince families to live in cities. In parallel, older people should appreciate the (new) quality of urban neighbourhoods and to rediscover their living environment.
