Public Engagement

Public engagement describes a comprehensive strategy aimed at stakeholder involvement, citizens’ participation and the assessment of societal impacts in all stages of the R&I cycle.
Public engagement includes strategies of dissemination and the implementation of a two-way dialogue between researchers, policy makers, societal stakeholders, and citizens (also in their roles as end-users, service costumers, consumers or students).
The aim is to raise public and citizens’ awareness to the opportunities and challenges of Demographic Change and to initiate a process of co-creation of innovative solutions.
